New 'Supernatural' Promo: Keep Grinding

As if the wait for tonight’s first new episode of 2016—one that takes us back to the cage where Sam is trapped with Lucifer—wasn’t hard enough, a new “Supernatural” promo that’s positively dripping with angst and blood just dropped.

Stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki both tweeted a link to a promo shared by Shaving People, Punting Things, and it epically sets up the next half of the season in which Sam, Dean and Castiel each have an enemy to defeat.  

Dean’s leather-and-steel voice-over sets an intense tone. “No matter how much it hurts, no matter how hard it gets, we got to keep grinding.  We’re going to save Cas.  We’re going to ice the devil.  And we’re going to shank The Darkness.  Anyone who gets in our way, well God help them.”    

The promo features juicy flashes from tonight’s episode—“The Devil In The Details”—and beyond, including the return of Castiel’s daughter Claire, and a former vampire named Alex who have been unofficially adopted by Winchester friend and fan favorite, Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) in the 12th episode, according to EW.com.  Dean strikes a badass pose in a wrestling ring and Dean dressed as a WWII sailor—both episodes takes place later this season, TVLine.com reports. 

“Supernatural” returns tonight at 9/8c on The CW, and it looks like a hell of a good time!
