The Flash's third season just went from epic to magical. Not only is the superhero series pursuing the game-changing "Flashpoint" arc, according to EW.com, it has also nabbed Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy in from the Harry Potter movies as a new regular! TVLine.com reports that Felton will play another CSI for the CCPD, who grows more suspicious of do-gooder Barry Allen.
The British actor is no stranger to portraying a villain. In addition to playing Harry Potter's nemesis, he also played a murderer of TNT's Murder In The First and an abusive guard in the Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes remake, thus it's extremely possible that he could play a villain in season 3. I've done a little detective work to support my theory. Joe West would be so proud! TVLine.com describes the next season's Big Bad as "a slightly older, slightly geekier contemporary, a guy who is as smart as he is intuitive...This newcomer doesn’t buy Barry’s nice guy routine and sets out to learn what he’s hiding — all while concealing some secrets of his own." This sounds eeriely similar to the newer description of Julian Dorn. It's also possible that with the altered timeline, in which Barry's mother was never killed by the Reverse Flash, that Felton's character may actually be The Flash or possibly, a roadblock for the long-awaited Barry-Iris relationship, which would make him evil enough. Either way, I'm all but salivating for new episodes of The Flash, which won't premiere until October 4. Accio Autumn!
